Caramel Leather Sofa Decorating Ideas

If you like it, go for it but I'm not really feeling the couch.

Buy what you want and love. But I personally would never buy a set. I would buy 2 matching sofas or if absolutely neccesary a sectional (careful there, though) if you really need that much seating and if the room can handle it. I tend to buy sets only if they are identical for symmetry, like nightstands ,lamps or chairs). I have rarely ( if ever) seen living or family rooms in shelter magazines with matching sets. It can look dated.

I love that leather. I have a travelers bag, boots and a few cute pieces in that color. Looks expensive and retro. Is it your main room?

I dont think you should go neutral I think you should be bold with colors.

I love it too! Thank you sis. I got my boots too and a bag and I always get compliments on them. This isn't our main room. It's the family room. Our main room is cream fabric. I am desirous of having pops of color with this color leather and that's my challenge. I just need to decide which colors and I think it will be driven by the wall art and area rugs that I choose.

I think emerald and forest green would be nice color palettes. Hard to find but worth it. And PLANTS. Or plant themed items. Maybe a safari theme would work too?

What sites are ya'll getting these pictures from? I love everything in them! I also have a pair of boots in this caramel color and aim to get a matching designer handbag.

I really like cream/ivory as the other major color, like you have with the rug and the coffee table. I'd add bright red (fire engine red not wine or crimson) for a pop of color, say as a vase or a lamp and a couple of pillows. The gold legs of that coffee table you posted go really well with the white/caramel scheme; you can throw in a brass or gold candle holder on the coffee table and a gold/brass objet d'art somewhere in the room.

Yaaasss mama! Thank you! I got those photos from overstock.com for the caramel leather. It was the first place we saw them. Then, we found that leather color in other places but it was overstock first. Cream/ivory definitely has to be one of the colors and I like the idea of red too. Maybe even a blood red. idk. I am kicking it around. The feet of the sofas are chrome but the coffee table has both brass and chrome in it so I can tie it all together. Especially when it comes to selecting the floor lamps which will be a big piece of tying the room together I think.

Yes blood red would be the best. Red and brown/beige are an expected combination but look great together.

I like to use Coolers.co to figure out color schemes that actually work; BTW the color that you're referring to is cocoa brown:

I hear you. We want the set because we are exhausted and it's a family room and we just want to keep things simple yet nice. But you say you would buy 2 matching sofas or a sectional so why not just a sofa, loveseat and chair? We do have a need for lots of seating since we have kids and family who like to come around and bring their friends and this is the family room.

I don't want to get stuck with a separate chair that I'll get tired of or want to change soon. I get tired of prints quick but tend to feel comfortable with baseline units that I can change small accents to change it up. I think that's why I am searching for accents that will keep me interested. Floor lamps. Area rug. TV stand. things that will bring the variety so that the only uniform thing is the sofa set.

Honestly, if it was me. I would not buy a matching set. Buy the sofa and then a chaise lounge that matches with your color scheme.

Based on the color schemes that I posted. If it was me, I would paint the walls that dark navy color for a nice pop. Have beige linen curtains and use the other colors as accents. For accents, I would use patterned pillows and throw blankets... I would recommend that the pillows and accents have some type of pattern since everything else is a solid.

aaahhhhhh S A T A N! You are fucking up my shit! lol. I hear you and I understand why you would say so. We were trying to go with a simple scheme and now we have to try and get chic with it. It's a lot of pressure. lmao. So, let's see. If I went with a chaise, what color would you suggest that would compliment this caramel/cognac leather? I might be able to visualize this if I can get some help

Scroll up. I posted color schemes up there. I use an online generator to figure out color schemes.

These photos have the color schemes that I posted above:

Notice how the difference chairs make the room look... Just better? You don't want the same colors. Trust. To tie it to the sofa, put a pillow that's the same color as the leather sofa.

Do you see how well the navy and beige works with the caramel?

To make the room like brighter, add a beige or white rug. Also use beige shades for the lamps.

Again, see how well these colors play off each other.

I also recommend that you paint your baseboards and moldings white for the contrast.

Okay, I am partial to lighter walls for spacing. I would be stepping out of my comfort zone with a dark wall. But this is all good information and good for us to consider. I am yearning for something new but something that fits my taste at the same time. Something that will please me everytime I walk into the room. I know you feel me.

Yea. I too usually prefer light wall colors. But hell. Why the fuck not? Haha.
